The grapes for this Pinot Gris were grown in the Georges Road vineyard in Waipara.

2009 was an ideal growing season with no frost problems, good weather over flowering and a dry autumn. The grapes were hand harvested on April 5th, at 23.1 Brix.

The grapes were transported to Sandihurst where they were whole bunch pressed, cold settled and then fermented at a cool temperature to retain aromatic intensity. The wine was lefts on lees for 4 months before being lightly filtered and bottled on 10th December.
